  • Overview

    Responsible for assisting the Director of Total Rewards in the day-to-day administration of Health, Supplemental, Wellness, and Retirement plans. This role is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions in a complex multi-company financial services corporation including but not limited to specific areas of responsibilities: Payroll, Benefits, and other duties as assigned. This role will provide timely and accurate information and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist teammates with claims and coverage inquiries.
    • Coordinate with vendor partners, and work with associates in all of our Nant entities for benefits administration.
    • Analyze and summarize enrollment data.
    • Prepare deduction/contribution reports for payroll.
    • Research and resolve deduction and enrollment discrepancies.
    • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
    • Call vendors to request invoices, reconcile misapplied payments.
    • Assist in month end closing, including reviewing and preparing journal entries for various accounts including, deferred revenue, and prepaid expenses, i.e.
    • Prepare period reports for management.
    • Uses, protects, and discloses HCP patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 2 or more years’ experience administering benefits in a corporate environment, preferred.
    • 3+ years’ accounts receivable/payable experience, required.  

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

    • Prior use, including data entry and reporting from an HRIS system, preferably Workday/ADP.
    • Must have comprehensive knowledge and experience of payroll and payroll taxes.
    • Strong GAAP foundation and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Accounting software packages.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision while preserving the strict confidentiality of all data.
    • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven excellent organizational skills.
    • General familiarity with benefits administration laws such as ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, ERISA.
    • Knowledge of HR compliance; interpret and explain labor and employment rules and regulations

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
    • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 10 pounds.
