  • Overview

    The Inbound Sales Team, performs inside sales functions for all Legal, Recruitment, Death Notice, and Other Classified advertising business units.  The Inbound Team Lead is responsible for the day to day activities of the Inbound Sales Team. This role ensures that all service levels, category targets and revenue goals are being met. This role serves both internal and external advertising customers in a fast paced, highly deadline-driven environment

    Responsibilities

    • Lead team to achieve service and sales goals
    • Be visible, on the sales floor, to diffuse, own and resolve customer issues and help the team achieve set goals and metrics
    • Oversee Death, Merchandise and Legal categories for California Times publishing customers
    • Identify, communicate and act on customer satisfaction, category, revenue and efficiency trends
    • Coach and develop staff through call monitoring and call feedback
    • Meet one on one with Dir., Sales  regularly to assess performance and aid in development
    • Collaborate with training and operations to keep the flow of knowledge moving
    • Hold regular sales meetings, communicate goals and progress
    • Lead monthly market calls with the Advertising Sales Director
    • Facilitate necessary partnering to resolve customer issues (internal and external)
    • Escalate issues quickly and when necessary
    • Ask for feedback and be open to change
    • Other duties/projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum 2 years in a customer service role; minimum 1 year of Supervisory experience
    • Confident demeanor and customer centric nature
    • Positive, people oriented and energetic  
    • Ability to be analytical, creative, and innovative in solving problems
    • Ability to adapt to and communicate changing priorities with ease and composure
    • Diplomatic and effective communicator
    • Ability to coordinate, document and effectively prioritize tasks
    • Ability to collaborate with company and department leaders is essential
    • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office product suite. Comfortable manipulating data using pivot tables
