We are seeking a savvy Advertising Sales Executive to join our team at the LA Jolla Light newspaper. The Multimedia Sales Executive will use a consultative sales approach to aggressively increase advertising revenue among our potential and existing clients (focusing on small to medium size businesses selling multiplatform products Print, Digital and Direct Mail for our 11 UT weekly newspapers).
Utilize the Partnership Selling process to grow revenue, to include: Needs assessment, proposal and presentation, closing, and ongoing account development with each advertising client.
Effectively work with internal departments to properly service advertisers’ needs.
Assist customers with design and layout of ads as necessary; advise as to effective use of advertising; develop ideas for spec ads.
Process advertising materials to ensure error-free publication of ads.
Will drive own vehicle on sales calls daily; must be available to attend after-hours community meetings and/or advertiser functions.
